I did it my way
Social Butterfly
When I was 14 years old, I wanted to be a lawyer. When I arrived in Louvain-La-Neuve, I studied at the Social school. I had decided that I would help people in another way than with the law, that I would try to help people to express their opinions and feelings, and to get what they need. So I studied 3 years how to become a "social worker". After that, I found a job in a social housing company, a bit too administrative for me. So I looked for something else and finally found what I wanted: working with young people. I did that for 3 years.
Music makes the people come together
Since I was less than 10 years old, I always had a great passion for music, mainly in singing. I had the chance to be engaged in quite a few musical projects, like a project called "Néon Nord" for which I wrote the Lyrics of 12 songs (if I remember well) in 2 months together with a friend, Corrado, who wrote the music and played guitar. I had a really good time doing that. Music is and will always be part of my life.
I'm not a geek but...
I learned how to customize and edit my blog, starting with the CSS. And I have to say I liked it, I liked eveything about it. Being in front of my computer (drinking coffee :) ), solving things sometimes on my own and sometimes with the help of others. I thought I could maybe do that a bit more seriously. So I started a one year professional training in Web Development for women. And everything went well ! At the end of the training, I was looking for an interneship. My husband convinced me to send a CV at Ebay Belgium, I did it and received a call, then an interview and I spent 3 months of amazing work there !
In Singapore, I worked for a french company, doing mainly websites maintenance via a CMS and some Flash editing. The multi-cultural team (Singaporean, Malay, Mauritian, French and Belgium !) was so great ! After moving to Australia, I started in Sydney a job as junior web developer and learned so much about it, and am now looking forward into learning some more again.
I want to be part of a great team with open people able to share ideas and opinions !
