The Belgium Luxembourg Business Group in Singapore (BLBG) is tasked to support Belgium and Luxembourg business in Singapore. We offer support, visibility and networking opportunities to our members as well as to professional people actively involved in business between Belgium or Luxembourg and Singapore, with a goal to enlarge business opportunities and develop business relations with local and regional actors.
Structure of BLBG
BLBG is headed by an elected President. He presides over an executive committee (Exco). Exco consists of a number of representative members of the Belgian and Luxembourg Business community in Singapore.
An executive director coordinates BLBG’s day to day activities.
Activities
BLBG will offer various services to its members such as:
Provide a platform to exchanges ideas, experiences and information;
Provide networking possibilities with the local Singapore business community;
Give first-hand information on various business-related experiences to Belgian and Luxembourg companies and/or Belgian or Luxembourg professionals active in Singapore and that wish to open an office in Singapore.
Networking activities
BLBG organizes events, which enables members to get to know each other as well as their Singaporean business contacts.
Theme and sectored experience meetings
BLBG may provide a platform for members that are active in the same field of activities and whom could meet on a voluntary basis to exchange experiences and/or discuss trends and evolutions. Local, Singaporean experts on the subject, may be invited thereto.
Relations with third parties
BLBG will strive to assist and support Belgian and Luxembourg companies and businessmen in Singapore in their various dealings with the Singapore Government and its Ministries and/or Statutory Boards. BLBG will also continue to have close relations with the Singapore-based Belgian Embassy, the Luxemburg Honorary Consulate as with the various Singapore-based Belgian and Luxemburg national and/or Regional Trade and/or Investment Promotion Agencies.
EuroCham
BLBG, as a founding member, keeps close relations with the European Chamber of Commerce (Eurocham) and also with other Business Clubs and/or Associations both in Singapore as throughout the region
